| Class 38 | Friday, November 21 |
On this date we got even closer to gaming out the entire rest of the semester. Here is a little calendar for you:
- Tues, Nov 25: Worksheet #9: Minor Scales is due.
- Tues, Dec 2: "Early Bird" Day for Short Compositions
- Wed, Dec 3: Singing Quiz
- Fri, Dec 5: Official day for Short Compositions
- Thurs, Dec 11: Final Exam at 11:00am
Homework #9: Minor Scales
Worksheet #9 asks you to make a few minor scales, in the regular and harmonic-minor flavors. You can read about it on pp. 38-41 of the textbook.
This assignment is due Tues, Nov 25 (i.e. the Tuesday before Thanksgiving).
"Singing Quiz" No. 2
The Prep Sheet tells you what to prepare for our second oral quiz, which will be on Wed, Dec 3. You'll do a little bass cleffing, a rhythm with sixteenth notes, and one tune in a major key.
Final Notation Project: Short Composition
In the first week of December we'll also present our final notation projects. The specifications are basically the same as last time, though this sheet tweaks a few of the details. I would love to hear some "early birds" on Tues, Dec 2 and get everybody in by Fri, Dec 5.
