Welcome to our Class Blog! There are a few things I would like you to do at the beginning of the semester.
Make an account
Please register a new account on this site, so we can keep track of your grades and stuff.
Read the syllabus
The class syllabus is like your contract with your professor, so you should always read it carefully. We'll talk it through in class but you should give it a focused readthrough as well.
Do a survey
Our first homework assignment is actually an online survey where you tell me about your musical background, what you are into, and where you get your music. It's pretty short, five minutes at the most.
Homework #2: Music in 4/4
Worksheet #2 asks you to put counts on some rhythms and draw some rhythms from counts. You can consult pp. 6-9 in our theory textbook for a reminder of how it all works.
This assignment is not due until Tuesday, Sept 1 but I will take it early, if you like.
