In this session we went back to rhythms in 6/8, expanded our circle of fifths a little bit, and tried a dictation at the very end (which did NOT go well, my bad.)
We currently have two homeworks in play:
Worksheet #6: More Scales Plus Key Sigs
Worksheet #6 asks you to draw some scales on the staff, and also has a quiz of the "easy" key sigs in the circle of fifths. Pages 26-34 in our theory textbook tell you everything about major scales and key signatures.
This one is due on Friday, Sept 27.
Homework #7: Transposed Melodies II
Worksheet #7 asks you to mark up two melodies that are in bass clef. (Actually it's two versions in the same melody, in different keys.) In order to do this you need to be up on your bass clef (p. 4 in our theory text), solfège (pp. 12-13), and key signatures (pp. 28-34).
