On this date I pushed back our last test until Friday, 5/2, and we did review on the modes and atonal theory. People were doing the final two homeworks, #13 and #14.
Homework #13: New Scales and Collections
Assignment #13 asks you to spell some new kinds of scales, and look at a few pieces. This new modern stuff is now documented in chapter 13 of our theory anthology.

Homework #14: Analyzing Post-Tonal Chords
The final homework assignment asks you to analyze a few chords from a pretty piece by David Lang. All of this technique is covered in pp. 105-113 of our textbook.
