Class 10 | Tuesday, September 17 |
On this day I said we were going to do more "serious theory on paper" and I gave out homework #5. Also, we started reading bass clef.
Worksheet #4: Reading Transposed Melodies
This is a paper version of something we've been doing lately in class. Worksheet #4 asks you to look at a few simple melodies and identify the names of the notes and also their solfege syllables. As I move the melodies into new keys you'll have new notes to name and some key signatures to deal with.
This assignment is due today.
Worksheet #5: Building Major Scales
Worksheet #5 asks you to draw four scales on a paper keyboard, using the WWHWWWH method. This is reviewed on pp. 26-27 of our theory textbook.
This worksheet is due Tues, Sept 24.
