OK, in this session we'll go over Worksheet #11 in class, and I'll give out #12. Hopefully you'll submit a brief proposal for the final paper. I'll also give you a study guide for our next test, which is on Friday, April 4. Lemme blog all of this in more detail below.
Final Paper Project
The Final Paper Guidelines tell you what we are looking for in our final project (5-6 pages including music examples and/or diagrams, any topic, theory-class style analysis, due in three installments).
The first duedate is Friday, March 28 for a one-paragraph proposal.
Homework #11: Moonlight Modulation
Worksheet #11 asks you to analyze the first nine measures of the Moonlight sonata, which includes a modulation an a cadence in a new key. Modulation is covered in our textbook pp. 59-62.

Worksheet #12: Mozart Modulation
Let's try one more of these for tuesday. Worksheet #12 asks you to trace a modulation from Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 10 in C major, K. 330, second movement, the middle part. Modulation is of course covered on pp. 59-62 of our textbook.
