Worksheet #3: New Expansions in the Flowchart
Worksheet #3 asks you to do two short analyses that include our new flowchart exceptions. This topic is covered in chapter 2 of our theory textbook.
I have clips you could listen to:
Mozart Symphony No. 41 in C Major, K. 551 "Jupiter": IV. Molto allegro
Mozart, Piano Sonata in A Major, K. 331: III. Rondo alla turca
If you want the full context you could watch this youtube video of the complete Rondo alla turca with form.
This worksheet is due Friday, Jan 31.
Worksheet #4: Non-chord Tones
Worksheet #4 asks you to analyse three easy piano pieces and label all of the passing tones, neighbor tones, appoggiaturas, etc. Reviewing Chapter 3 in our theory anthology is probably pretty essential before you dig in. Here are audio clips of the three passages:
1) Beethoven, Ecossaise in G major WoO 23
2) Mozart, Minuet in F major K. 2:
3) Burgmüller, Arabesque
Due date is Tues, Feb 4.
